Hi! I’m Angela, the owner of the beauty bar you all know as Esme.

I first became a nail tech in 1999, working for myself out of my home. When I had the first of my babies in 2003 I decided to enroll back in school, and become a florist which I realized was a huge passion of mine. Wanting to somehow combine my love of floral, and beauty together, I knew I’d have to find the right space to accommodate both, which my husband and I did with the original location.

Deciding on a name was easy, as I had always loved the name Esme. Esme which means esteem in old French seemed absolutely fitting, as I wanted to create a space that was all about self expression, and positive self esteem. I wanted clients to walk in the door and get the feeling they were part of something bigger, a family if you will.

Unfortunately I dealt with some pretty heavy health issues while I had my babies, and I spent a lot of time researching, learning, and perfecting home-care products. I had noticed a huge improvement in my skin, energy, and mental health while transitioning to more natural, healthy alternatives. I knew I wanted to create a space not only for clients, but for my staff to have the safest ingredients to work with everyday, which was another catalyst in the making of Esme.
